4. Exercise Program Personalization

Now that you know how weight training and cardio work, you will learn why it is so important to adjust your exercise program to meet your particular goal. Everybody is different and everybody has a specific goal – his or her dream body. Some might prefer to build some muscle in addition to losing fat, while someone else just wants to get in shape. Some might want to improve their bodies from an aesthetic point of view while others need to lose those excess pounds in order to improve their general health condition.

Even when the goal is the same, our body types, health conditions and genetic differences make it impossible to apply the same exercise program to everybody. This is the biggest mistake committed by almost all programs and diets out there. There is NO universal program or diet that will work for everyone, and anybody claiming to have it is telling you a HUGE lie. If a training program or diet doesn’t take in consideration factors like your age, body type, and so on, it is just a waste of time.

A friend of mine always says: "It’s not important how much you weight or how much you lift… the only thing that matters is how you look and feel." He is absolutely right. Losing body fat while maintaining your muscle mass is your ultimate goal.

Since training program customization is nearly a science, it cannot be explained in a few pages. I will only give you some basic advice in order to help you better understand what this is all about.
