Help

Macronutrient ratio is an important aspect of Tom Venuto’s bestseller "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle". By modifying macronutrient percentages in your diet you can better adjust your weight loss program to your body type.

Fats, protein and carbohydrates have different energy content per gram and the ratios expressed in kCal (energy measure) are different from the ratios expressed in grams. Since it is far easier to obtain the gram content of macronutrients from food labels it is convenient to have the energy ratios converted to grams.

Just enter the amount of calories and then the macronutrient ratio expressed in kCal. You will obtain the grams of each macronutrient.

Example

2000 kCal diet that consist of 30% protein 20% fat and 50% carbs.

This means:
30% of your calories, which is 600 kCal, are from protein
20% of your calories, which is 400 kCal, are from fats
50% of your calories, which is 1000 kCal are from carbs

But how do you know how many grams of each you should eat? This is where our “Macronutrient Calculator” can help you. Just enter 2000 kCal in the kCal field, 30 in the protein field, 20 in the fat field and 5 in the carbs field and you will obtain the result:
Protein:150gr
Fats: 45 gr
Carbs: 1250 gr
